ABOUT
Andreea Hriscu is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist working across painting, photography, sound, and live performance. Her practice explores perception, transformation, memory, and the relationship between the inner and external worlds.
Her paintings and mixed-media works combine expressive gestures, tactile materials, textures, and layers, often evolving through an intuitive and physical process. Her photography focuses on abstract details, architecture, water, and fleeting moments, transforming familiar subjects into fragmented or meditative images.
As MIRE, she creates experimental soundscapes built from drones, noise, field recordings, and processed environmental sounds. She is also part of the duo project VELLVM as Fathom, where, together with Noctilith creates creates long form improvised compositions, collapsing the boundary between dark ambinet, drone, industrial and atmospheric metal.
